We use our website to connect homeowners with professional providers of home improvement services. In some cases, we work with business partners to make these services more widely accessible.
We process your Personal Data (as defined under GDPR) in order to facilitate the making of contracts for services between the homeowner (also referred to herein as the “ customer”) and the home improvement service provider (also referred to herein as the “contractor”).
We do not collect ‘sensitive data’ (that is data about such matters as your religious beliefs or political opinions).

Our service includes Social Media features, such as the Facebook Like button. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.
- DATA RETENTION PERIOD
We have a data retention policy, which clearly sets out how long we keep data for, and for what reasons.
We will keep your data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose/s for which it was collected in the first place, i.e. as set out in this notice.
For example:
- We will keep your request for Quotes for 6 months after you make the request to enable us to resolve any queries from Service Providers, should they arise.
- If you haven’t opted out of receiving marketing from us, we will keep your details, and may send you emails, until such time as you don’t engage with our emails for a period of 6 consecutive months or make a request as such.
Following the periods set out above, we will not use the data, save that we will hash/anonymise the same, and retain it for a further 2 years for compliance purposes.
- POLICY TOWARDS CHILDREN
TopFit does not knowingly collect personal information from minors who are under the age of 16 through the websites and/or the services. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personally identifiable information without his/her consent, then he or she should contact TopFit at the address described below. If we become aware that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with personally identifiable information, We will delete such information from our files.
